Your current account is your life in the arcade. All five building games are your businesses โ what they earn, you take out as a private withdrawal onto your account, and from there you pay rent, food, electricity, phone and the broadcasting fee, just like in real life. Everything is counted in euros (play money, of course).
The figures on this page are the current default values โ the operator can adjust them. What the bank shows you in the game is always what counts.
The bank gives you โฌ3,000 to start with. Interest-free, no instalment, no repayment โ it is a gift, not a loan. That is enough to open your first business right away.
As long as you have not opened a business, nothing costs you anything. If you only want to play in the duel corner or with the classics, the โฌ3,000 simply stay in your account โ no rent, no electricity, no debits. Your cost of living starts with your first business, and even then only from the day you open it: nothing is charged retroactively.
If you need more than โฌ3,000, you get it the real-life way โ with a bank loan.
Good to know: It is not the interest that hurts, it is the daily instalment. On โฌ3,000 that is โฌ15 a day โ your business has to earn that reliably.
Your cost of living starts with your first business โ before that it does not run at all. Once you have opened a business, the bank debits it on the 28th of every month. The items:
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Rent (furnished room in a shared flat) | โฌ450.00 |
| Food and drink | โฌ300.00 |
| Electricity | โฌ45.00 |
| Phone and internet | โฌ35.00 |
| Broadcasting fee | โฌ18.36 |
| Total | โฌ848.36 |
That sounds like a lot, but it is not: it works out at roughly โฌ28 a day โ a single well-run business covers that easily.
Your first billing is pro-rata: open your first business on the 15th, and on the 28th you only pay for the days since you opened it โ not the whole month. From the second billing on, the full amount applies. And if you created your account weeks earlier and only played duels or classics until now, none of that time is charged.
Once you have opened your private life, the rhythm changes: the total no longer arrives on a single day but on the days it would fall due in real life โ phone, internet and subscriptions on the 1st, the broadcasting fee on the 15th, rent, electricity and service charges on the last day of the month, groceries every Monday. The monthly total stays the same, it is only spread out. Phone and internet then cost โฌ55 instead of โฌ35 โ if you never touch your private life, you stay on the old collective item. All the dates are shown on the "๐ My life" card.
If your account does not cover the 28th, the bank takes the rest from the game holding the most money. If even that is not enough, your account goes into the red โ the next section explains exactly how that works. Incoming money settles the red first. And to help you back on your feet, your credit limit automatically grows by exactly your arrears plus one cost of living while you are behind โ emergency headroom that disappears again once everything is paid.
๐ก By the way, rent and food are no longer fixed amounts โ with a home, furniture, subscriptions and more you shape these items yourself; how that works is explained in the guide ๐ Private life.
If your current account is short on the due date, the bank automatically takes the rest from the business holding the most money. If there is nothing there either, you go into the red โ and from the second day that costs 19 % interest a year.
Your overdraft grows with you โ just like your credit limit. You start at โฌ1,000. Beyond 2 hours of counted playtime you get โฌ50 for every further 2 hours, up to โฌ2,000.
| Counted playtime | Your overdraft |
|---|---|
| up to 2 h | โฌ1,000 |
| 4 h | โฌ1,050 |
| 10 h | โฌ1,200 |
| 22 h | โฌ1,500 |
| 42 h | โฌ2,000 (the end) |
The bank shows you your current limit and the next step โ and for the overdraft, playtime counts without a daily cap.
โ ๏ธ Your limit and the lockout are two different lines. That matters, because they are easy to confuse:
So someone still on a โฌ1,000 limit is stopped at โโฌ1,000 but not locked out. They keep playing and earn themselves more room in the process.
| Option | Interest p.a. | on โฌ1,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Move money from your businesses | โ | free |
| Bank loan | 12 % | โฌ0.33 a day |
| Overdraft (account in the red) | 19 % / 39 % | โฌ0.79 a day |
The overdraft costs considerably more than a loan โ just like in real life. It is the convenient emergency option, not a plan.
And past โฌ500 it gets genuinely expensive. There are two interest tiers:
It is worked out in tiers, like a real bank: the high rate only applies to the part above โฌ500, not to the whole amount. So at โฌ501 you do not suddenly pay double โ it gets steadily more expensive the deeper you go:
| Your overdraft | Costs per day | per month |
|---|---|---|
| โฌ300 | โฌ0.16 | about โฌ4.70 |
| โฌ500 | โฌ0.26 | about โฌ7.80 |
| โฌ900 | โฌ0.69 | about โฌ20.60 |
| โฌ1,500 | โฌ1.33 | about โฌ39.90 |
| โฌ2,000 | โฌ1.86 | about โฌ55.90 |
๐ก Rule of thumb: up to โฌ500 the overdraft is an inconvenience. Below that it is the most expensive way to hold money anywhere in this arcade โ dearer than any loan.
As soon as your balance drops below zero, the bank shows you your three options: take money out of your businesses (free), apply for a loan (cheaper), or let the overdraft run (expensive). You are reminded whenever you start a game while your account is in the red.
The lockout: at โโฌ2,000, and only after 24 hours. Dropping below โฌ2,000 in the red does not lock you out straight away. The bank warns you first and gives you a whole day. Only if you are still below afterwards do the seven business games close.
And even locked out you are never stuck. Only the five game pages are closed. The start page, current account, bank and market hall stay open: you can always reach your money and transfer it from your businesses to your account โ that is the way back, and it costs nothing. A game tab that was still open may also finish saving its progress; nothing is ever lost.
โ ๏ธ Playing on does not help while you are locked out: the games are closed, so no further playtime accrues that could raise your limit. The way out always goes through money.
And now honestly, the unpleasant side โ what really happens while you are in the red:
Below your current account on the start page you will find your account statement โ laid out like a real bank's, month by month:
Use โน and โบ to page through the months, as far back as the bookings are kept. Older months are empty at some point โ and the statement says so clearly instead of letting them look like quiet months.
At the very bottom there is a self-check: opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the closing balance. If that ever fails to add up, the statement says so โ honesty beats a pretty wrong figure. Please let Marco know if it happens.
The bank rewards playtime. You start with a limit of โฌ3,000. For every full half hour you actually play, it grows by โฌ250 โ at most 4 hours count per day (so up to +โฌ2,000 a day), capped at โฌ100,000 in total. Only real playtime counts: breaks and closed tabs do not. Today counts immediately; the bank shows you where you stand on the ladder.
Part hours are not lost. Your playtime is counted as a whole, not day by day. Playing 15 minutes every day gives you a half hour after just two days โ and with it your first โฌ250. Only the daily cap stays: no more than 4 hours ever enter the count on a single day.
Do not let the numbers below scare you. The full โฌ100,000 are a goal for later, not an entry ticket: your first businesses fit into the starting limit, and everything beyond that you would rather earn than borrow anyway.
| You play โฆ | โฆ to reach โฌ100,000 |
|---|---|
| 15 min a day | about 776 days |
| 30 min a day | about 388 days |
| 1 h a day | 194 days |
| 2 h a day | 97 days |
| 4 h a day (daily max) | 49 days โ it cannot go faster |
That is 194 hours of counted playtime in total, from โฌ3,000 to โฌ100,000. Step by step it gets you into all the small businesses: farm, haulage and apartment empire โ the starting limit already covers those. The clinic and the rail works are deliberately not reachable via the automatic loan; you finance those from your businesses' profits.
Whatever fits inside your limit is approved straight away, no questions asked. If you want more, there are two routes.
1. The quiet route. You simply type in a larger amount. While your ladder is still running the bank refuses it and tells you how far along you are and how much playtime is still missing. Only when both of these apply does such a wish land on the operator desk by itself:
2. The personal route โ at any time. Below the application form there is a button, โ๐ฎ Ask Marco in person". You can press it whenever you like, on day one and while your limit is nowhere near used up. The bank asks you once more before it goes out, because:
Either way: you name the amount and write a short reason โ what is the money for, how will you pay it back? The operator reads every application personally and can approve it, decline it or make a counter-offer (for example โฌ8,000 instead of the โฌ15,000 you asked for, or a different interest rate). A counter-offer may exceed your limit.
Even an approved application is only paid out once you have seen the offer with its interest and instalment and accepted it. A good reason genuinely helps โ applications without a plan have a hard time.
You can pay off any running loan at any time, in part or in full โ straight from your current account. Every euro repaid early stops earning interest against you, so you save real money.
Each tycoon game is a business that you open once. You choose the opening amount freely โ even โฌ0 is allowed: the business then starts without capital and you top it up later.
How much you put in when opening is entirely up to you. There is no upper limit beyond what sits on your current account, and that opening amount counts towards no quota at all. Start small if you want to; put more in if you want room to breathe.
Everything runs in real euros, 1:1. What you deposit is exactly what lands in the business till; what you take out arrives exactly like that on your account. The businesses form a career ladder โ from the farm through haulage, apartments and the boat empire up to the restaurant, hotel, clinic and finally the railway works. What each one costs to open is shown on the start page, on every tile. When paying in or taking out, the bank always shows you exactly what arrives on the other side โ moving money back and forth never creates any.
So that one thriving business does not simply become the wallet for another, every business has a rolling 24-hour window:
That is the only brake โ apart from it you decide freely how much money sits in which business.
There is one exception: if a business till slips into the red, you may top it back up to โฌ0 at any time โ even with more than โฌ500 and without waiting. Anything beyond that counts against the window again.
The two directions are counted separately. Paying in โฌ400 therefore takes nothing away from what you can withdraw โ and the other way round just the same.
Rolling means there is no midnight cut-off. Every booked amount blocks its slot for exactly 24 hours and then frees it again by itself. If you took out โฌ500 today at 6 p.m., something is possible again from 6 p.m. tomorrow.
Opening does not count. When you get a business going for the first time, the opening amount is exempt from the window โ however large it is. You can top it up on the same day; the window only kicks in from the second deposit onwards.
What the business earns itself is unlimited as always. The window only affects the route through your current account.
โ ๏ธ You never have to work it out: before every deposit and withdrawal the dialogue states how much is really possible right now and when more becomes available. That figure is the one that counts โ it comes from the server, not from a guess in the browser.
Every game has several save slots, and you can delete each one on its own to start over there. The money in the business till does not simply become your balance, though:
You see the figures beforehand. Before anything is deleted a confirmation appears with the real amounts: how much goes to your account and how much goes to the bank. Only when you confirm there does anything happen โ and afterwards it cannot be undone.
On your statement the credit shows up as a normal withdrawal labelled โFrom the deleted save slotโ and it draws on the same 24-hour window as a manual payout. So if you delete two slots of the same game one after another, you get the daily amount once, not twice.
๐ก If you really want to keep the money, take it out in peace before deleting โ โฌ500 on every day the business is still standing.
You do not have to withdraw by hand every day. For each business you can set up a standing payout order: an amount that moves from the business till to your current account all by itself every 24 hours.
Paying in stays manual. There is deliberately no standing deposit order: putting money into a business is a decision you should make โ not one that happens on the side.
Money you do not currently need can be put away. The rate is an annual interest rate โ for shorter terms you receive the matching share. The ladder (defaults today):
| Term | Interest per year |
|---|---|
| 1 month | 1 % |
| 3 months | 2 % |
| 6 months | 3 % |
| 9 months | 4 % |
| 12 months | 5 % |
The bank starts at โฌ0, just like you. Every loan it pays out and every overdraft it grants pushes it into the red โ that is completely normal and exactly its job.
So that it never runs out of money, it does what a real bank does: it refinances at the central bank. Once a day it checks whether it is in the red and then borrows exactly the amount it is short โ not a cent more. After that it is back at zero.
No money is created out of thin air: whatever the bank borrows, it also owes. Both sit in its books and cancel each other out.
Your business till may go into the red โ but not without limit. If it drops below โ500 โฌ, that business halts and stands still.
It starts again as soon as you have topped it up from your current account so the till is back at 0 โฌ. Neither the 24-hour window nor any waiting time applies to that โ that is exactly what this exception is for.
Standing still really means standing still, in both directions:
That is the whole point of the rule: you should be able to buy your way out once and then carry on normally โ not drop back below โ500 โฌ in the same moment because the standstill gets billed retrospectively.
โ ๏ธ Your current account is not affected: rent, cost of living and loan instalments keep running. It is the business that halts, not your account.
Short breaks cost nothing: nothing spoils, your businesses wait for you. Only after a long absence does the bank act โ in two stages, each with advance warnings:
As soon as you play once, the counter resets completely. Drop by now and then and you never have anything to fear.
At the very bottom of the start page you can start over. Think twice โ it cannot be undone:
